Dr. Deepshikha Agarwal is Professor at the University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka.

NIRA RAMACHANDRAN

Dr. Nira Ramachandran is currently an independent researcher and consultant based at Gurgaon, India. As ICSSR Senior Fellow at the Institute of Economic Growth, New Delhi, her research centred on accelerating improvement in nutrition outcomes, subsequently published as ‘Persisting Undernutrition in India: Causes, Consequences and Possible Solutions’ (Springer 2014).

 

Her interest areas include food security, nutrition, gender, and environmental issues. She has provided consultancy to a number of International organizations including the FAO, UN World Food Programme, UNICEF and The World Bank.


She holds a Ph D from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and has also been trained abroad. She has worked at some of the leading universities and research Institutions in India including the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Bangalore University, Delhi University and the LBS National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the premier training institute for the Indian Administrative Services, where she was Coordinator, Centre for Sustainable Development. She has lectured extensively and conducted training programmes in the areas of food security, environmental sustainability, primary education, research methodology and project management techniques. She has to her credit several articles in peer reviewed journals as well as a number of books.

NUPUR CHOWDHURY 

Dr. Nupur Chowdhury is Assistant Professor of Law at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, India. She completed her B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science (LSR, Delhi University); LL.B. from (Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law) Delhi University, LL.M. in International and European Law, University of Amsterdam and PhD in Law and Regulation from University of Twente, Netherlands. Prior to this she was an Assistant Professor at the Jindal Global Law School and Associate Fellow at the Resources and Global Security Division, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). 

 

She teaches courses on Political Science, Constitutional History, Research Methodology, Environmental law and Law and Technology. She has undertaken research projects in natural resources law, environment impact assessment, health regulation and regulation of emerging technologies. She is a member of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law and of the TERI Institutional Ethics Committee.

SANJIVINI RAINA

Sanjivini Raina is currently Assistant Professor at Law Centre-I, University of Delhi. She has fifteen years plus experience of teaching graduate and post graduate students.

Her area of interests are Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law and Mercantile Law. Her thesis was on the “Interface Between IPR and Competition Laws with Special Reference on Pharmaceutical Patenting in India” 

 

She did her Ph.D.  and  LL.M. from the Faculty of Law, J.M.I securing first rank with gold medal. She also has done postgraduate diploma in Cyber and Internet Related Laws from Indian Law Institute with special merit award. She has presented her work at national and international conferences and also delivered special invitee lecturers at Delhi Judicial Academy, Indian Law Institute, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Haryana Institute of Public Administration and VV Giri National Labour Institute. She has authored various articles in journal and contributed chapters in books.

JUPI GOGOI

Dr. Jupi Gogoi is Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She completed her LL.M. from Indian Law Institute with specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Human Rights Law and her Ph.D. from Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) on the topic “The Protection of Agricultural and Natural Goods under the GI Act, 1999: A Socio-Legal Study with Special Reference to the State of Assam”. Before joining University of Delhi in 2018, she worked as Assistant Professor in the Indian Law Institute for six years.

 

Her areas of interest are IPR and Human Rights Law. She has made many academic contributions in critical areas of law and her writings have found place in reputed journals including CSIR-Journal of Intellectual Property Rights, Annual Survey of Indian Law, Indian Law Review, Banaras Law Journal etc., newpapers like The Hindu, Assam Tribune as well as blogs like Spicyip(the leading IPR blog in India) . She has also co-edited a book on ‘IPR and Human Rights with Special Emphasis on India’ (Indian Law Institute Publications, New Delhi, 2018).

SHIKHA SHARMA

Dr. Shikha Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law (Senior scale) in Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She has a specialization in Trademark Law. Her area of interest includes Trademark law, Administrative Law, Criminology, and Social Justice.
 

She has completed LL. B from University School of Law & Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka. She has distinction and scholarship in LL.M first
year for an Outstanding Academic Performance (2008). Dr. Shikha has also been awarded Gold Medal for her outstanding academic excellence in the LL.M program from the University School of Law & Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka.

 

She has done Ph.D. in Trademark Law. She is a NET and JRF/SRF holder. She has authored a book titled ‘Law on Comparative Advertising under Trademark Regime in India’ published by Satyam Law International Publication. There are various articles and research papers in both national and international journals to her credit. She has presented
papers at various national and international seminars and conferences. She is involved in various teaching and research assignments in various affiliated colleges of IP university.

MOHAMMAD UMAR 

Mohammad Umar teaches as an Assistant Professor of Law at Bennett University, Greater Noida. He is also the founder advisor to the Weeramantry Centre for Peace, Justice and International Law. He has published in areas like technology transfer and TRIPS, regulation of fake news, illicit wildlife trade, human rights, the interface of trade environment, UN Peacekeeping, gender and personal law etc.

 

Umar has been an invitee at several reputed institutions such as the London School of Economics and Political Science, HNLU, NUALS, Indian Society of International Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Indian Law Institute, Jamia Millia Islamia & SLS, CUSAT. REEVA GUJRAL SINGHAL

Reeva Gujral Singhal graduated from School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and has been enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2007. NIDHI SRIVASTAVA 

Nidhi Srivastava is a PhD Scholar at the Energy Studies Programme, SIS, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

 

She obtained B.A. (Hons.) in English Literature (Miranda House, Delhi University); LL.B. (Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Delhi University); and LL.M. in Energy and Environmental Law (Catholic University (KU) Leuven, Belgium).

 

Nidhi has over ten years of experience of legal and policy research on issues relating to environment, natural resources, energy, technology regulation, and sustainability. Nidhi has worked with institutes such as The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Centre for Environmental Law, WWF India. Thereafter, she has been a freelance legal researcher and consultant. She is also a guest faculty at the Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies, TERI School of Advanced Studies and Honorary Fellow at Centre for Multilevel Federalism. She is a member of IUCN Commission on Environmental Law.

Ram Dulari Patel is a research scholar at Human Rights Studies Programme/ School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is currently working on her thesis "Redressal Mechanism under the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women; A study of the Efficacy of the Optional Protocol".

Anandita Yadav is a lawyer and has been guest faculty at Delhi Metropolitan Education Law School in the past. She completed her LL.B. from Delhi University and subsequently LL.M. from Indian Law Institute, Delhi. Her interest in theory and jurisprudence stems from her graduate degree in political science whereas criminal law, criminology and comparative studies are some of her other areas of specialisation.  

 

Presently, her doctoral thesis on 'hate speech' has been submitted that seeks to rationalise the contested concept. As a legal researcher, her publications in leading journals and books cover a myriad range of legal issues including that of hate speech.
